Chinese Wine…A Rich Idea In 5 Years?

I just read an article in the New Zealand Herald by Koh Chin Ling - Beijing, that said that China, the sixth largest wine producer in the world is hiring experienced wine makers from France and buying wine presses from Italy all in a effort to make their wines more palatable.

All I can say here is, has anyone noticed what the Chinese have done with themselves in the last 5 to 10 years? They are a sleeping giant over there. They are as technologically and socially advanced as the United States and people in the U.S. haven’t even noticed. How many people live in China, isn’t it like over a BILLION? I say, if they want to make better wine and distribute it globally, give them a few years and it’ll happen.

It just sounds weird to think about drinking Chinese wine. But I bet it won’t sound weird 20 years from now. Here’s the link to the article:

I’ll be talkin’ to ya later!
